Dr Dane Channon

 

Dr Dane Channon is a specialist psychologist in East London, registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). Dr Channon has been practicing as a psychologist in South Africa for over a decade. 

​

His special interest lies in paediatric (developmental) psychology and he has completed a three year, applied doctorate program, in child and adolescent psychology through the University of the Free State.

​

Dr Channon's expertise lie in diagnosing and treating neurodevelopmental disorders. He is one of only a handful of specialists on the continent to hold registrations in the Griffiths III, ADOS-2 and DISCO developmental-based assessments. He is readily consulted for his clinical opinions on autism spectrum disorders, attention deficit hyperactive disorder and learning disabilities.

Tashmin Naidoo

Tashmin Naidoo is a Counselling Psychologist in East London, who is registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), and the Board of Healthcare Funders of South Africa (BHF). She completed her undergraduate studies at Rhodes University in Grahamstown, and obtained her Masters’ degree in Psychology at the University of Fort Hare.

 

Tashmin is a diligent and committed psychologist, who offers psychotherapy and psychological assessments to children, adolescents and adults facing a wide range of difficulties and challenges. She has experience working as a psychologist within the schooling environment, students at tertiary level, and in private practice. She has a special interest in working with clients of all ages who present with Autism Spectrum Disorder and is an accredited user of the Diagnostic Interview for Social and Communication Disorders (DISCO).  The therapeutic frameworks she draws upon, include, but are not limited to CBT (cognitive behaviour therapy), DBT (dialectical behavioural therapy), Gestalt therapy and various forms of Play therapy.

Toni Midlane

Toni Midlane is a Counselling Psychologist, registered with the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) and the Board of Health Care Funders (BHF). With 14 years of experience in psychology, Toni has dedicated eight years to the educational sector. Toni has collaborated with numerous non-profit organisations (NPOs), providing educational assessment, career guidance, and youth workshop facilitation.

 

Toni is an accredited user of the Diagnostic Interview for Social and Communication Disorders (DISCO), informing her approach when working with clients diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder. 

 

Her therapeutic framework encompasses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), and Gestalt play therapy. Additionally, Toni offers counselling through Equine Assisted Psychotherapy, leveraging the unique qualities of horses to foster growth and healing in therapeutic settings. She has received training from The Equine Assisted Institute of South Africa (EAPISA) in this modality.

 

Beyond her therapeutic practice, Toni conducts scholastic and exam concession assessments and provides guidance on subject choices.
